MAGNA CARTA Magna Carta was a product of the 70's. I remember those years with affection. There was a true sense of the ridiculous; much posturing and posing and an awful lot of pretentiousness of which we were as guilty as anyone else, but I recall the sense of colour; excitement; the newness of it all. It was easy to dismiss the music as saccharine unless you really listened to it. Here and there we came up with something that stunned the listener in some shape or form. 'Seasons' and 'Lord of the Ages' to name but two. Some of the songs went for the heart rather than the jugular, 'Two old Friends', 'Nothing so bad it can't get better', 'Father John' and 'Old Man' developed lives of their own and the records sold in impressive quantities world-wide.
