WISHBONE ASH Wishbone Ash are veterans of rock, having formed in 1969 under the managerial eye of Miles Copeland. They have have weathered three decades of change, and made records in both the UK and the US, working with producers of the calibre of Tom Dowd (Cream, Clapton & Skynyrd) and Bill Szymczyk (Eagles, Joe Walsh & The Who). The band has toured the world several times, and made regular stops in the US, Europe and Japan. They made pioneer appearences in the former Soviet Union, South Africa and India, before others made it fashionable to capitalise on these places. Former band members have gone on to illustrious careers with the likes of Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner and Joe Cocker - which shows the high regard in which the band's guitar standards are held. Through all this change, Andy Powell, with his trademark Gibson Flying V, has charted a steady course, maintaining the band's integrity and identity.
