Becky Mills, former member of the critically acclaimed band “Waking The Witch” releases her new solo album “Dandelion”

The recording sessions for ‘Dandelion’ started in 2010. The album was originally recorded at her Knaresborough home with just Becky and an acoustic guitar. Later musician friends and colleagues were drafted in (coerced!!) to play on the album. The whole thing was a labour of love by Becky who was determined to create something very special.

During her early solo career Becky wrote and recorded two albums “Lazy Girl” and “Ladder to the Sun”. Then Becky joined the award winning band “Waking the Witch” co-writing two successful albums, and playing gigs, and festivals up and down the country. The second album “Boys from the Abattoir” got considerable radio airplay.

After the split of “Waking the Witch” in 2007 Becky took a sabbatical to have her baby son. She continued writing during this period, resulting in the collection of songs that would eventually make up the “Dandelion” Album. She retained the production services of Dave Creffield for it, who made “Boys from the Abattoir”.

Becky sang guest vocals on the recent album “Copper, Russet and Gold” by Ashley Hutchings (Fairport Convention) & Ken Nicol (Steeleye Span). She has also toured with the pair.
