So many new releases in the pipeline and to start we have Mark Radcliffe and David Boardman with their brand new album, Hearsay & Heresy. MAny will know Mark from his hosting of the Radio 2 Folk show but over the past couple of years he teramed up with David Boardman and hit the road and even an odd ship or two.
And for all Green Diesel fans we have their latest offering ‘ONWARD THE SUN’, available now from the store.

Dorie Jackson’s brand new album Stupid Says Run is litterally running off the shelves with fantastic reviews and airplay everywhere. This wonderful album is from the House of Kaprekar and features Kaprekar’s Constant members Nick Jefferson, Mike Westergaard, David Jackson and Al Nicholson.
We are so pleased to release the newly found and remastered live recordings from Richard Thompson, Ralph McTell, Dave Pegg and Dave Mattacks, also known as THE GPs live from Horsham and Broughton Castle in 1981. These recordings have been gently worked on with much love and result is this incredible new release ‘In 1981 there was….. Available now above. If you are catching Fairport on tour at the moment they are also stocking this great release.
And back to Steve Tilston we also have a couple of digital singles from Steve available now on all digital platforms. ‘As Night Follows Day’ and ‘Biding Time’ is also available on our Bandcamp site.
Over the past Summer we worked with our friends in the Netherlands. Radz records have released three live albums taken from their Grolloo festival back in 2003. The albums all exclusively available in the UK with us are – Simon Nicol and Ric Sanders, Iain Matthews and Ad Vanderveen and a double CD from Little Johnny England. All available now and please note these are very limited and once gone…. They’re Gone.
We also have the release of a rather fantastic follow up album to David Carroll’s Bold Reynold. Bold Reynold Too also features his old friends from Gryphon and Fairport and is proving to be a hit with Folk Rock fans around the world. Also check out the limited edition Vinyl release for you Vinyl Fans. The album is featured in our latest Trunk Call (19). Also available is a classic album by Judie Tzuke with her 1992 album Wonderland which features guests Queen guitarist Brian May and the legendary Nigel Kennedy on Violin. If thats not enough look out for a very special release from The Slambovian Circus of Dreams ceebrating the 25th anniversay of their wonderful debut lbum A Good Thief Tips His Hat. David Jackson (VDGG & Kaprekar’s Constant) and Dutch Artist and Percussionist René van Commenée with a rather special album ‘Keep Your Lane’ that Mojo has already rated 4 Stars this month along with RnR.
Launched at last years Cropredy Festival was a very special album from Carla Fuchs, the Sandy Denny Estate and Georgia Rose Lucas with new music put to some of Sandy’s Notebook Lyrics. We are so pleased that it went into the Top 40 of the UK Folk Charts. Well done Carla.
We have a fantastic Astralasia Live from Glastonbury Psychfest 2022 album. Check it out for some great festival music.
Folk Chart news…… Congratulations to David Carroll & friends for going straight into the folk charts top 40 at number 29. A wonderful album by David and his friends, half of Gryphon and half of Fairport.
We are all very excited by this one which as far as we know if the first collaboration of these two fantastic bands. You can hear a little snippet on their page. The album is in stock and available.
As we said above available now is the wonderful album from ruth angell and her solo album ‘hylwing’. A stunning video of the opening song is available to see on her order page.
Also, just arrived at elephant towers is a rare album from the early 70s, hannibal by hannibal, a real jazz-prog-rock album and were formed by members of Bakerloo back in the day.
We are also enchanted by the wonderul audio/musical journey through the peak district with Mark Gwynne Jones.
On the rock side we have an Ian Gillan produced classic of a very badly bootlegged album by Jerusalem. Talking elephant are pleased to finally make it legal and sounding much much betters
