Birmingham, England, is where Martin Barre (Jethro Tull) and John Carter grew up and were best friends and remained so throughout their lives. In the early 60 s they went their own way In 1997 John and Martin were musically reunited when they recorded the critically acclaimed Spirit Flying Free, a collection of John s songs, aided and abetted by their mutual friends from Jethro Tull and Fairport Convention, Jon Noyce, Dave Pegg, Chris Leslie and Paul Burgess. We are pleased to be able to re-release this classic album once more.
